In recent years, Electric Vehicles (EVs) emerge as a critical factor for the economics growth and the ESG development world wide. Battery swap, which endows EVs with a speedy charging experience comparable to the traditional gasoline vehicles, is one the most advanced charging options for the future EVs, thus sits as the core concern of the EV industry. In this study, we provide a novel network model to examine the influence of battery swap stations (BSS) to the EV sales and fit the model with real - world topological traffic distance and BSS network data in China. The results suggest that our coverage utility is effective in identifying the high - sales - potential areas and provides a reference for the optimal site selection. We further apply simulation tests to demonstrate the measurement error of OLS test for the stimulus effect of BSS to EV sales may grow at an exponential speed when ignoring the network effect.

张岩博士现任澳门城市大学金融学院助理教授。他拥有美国犹他大学金融学博士学位，曾在犹他大学和洛约拉玛莉蒙特大学生任教。他的主要研究兴趣是资本市场（包括期权市场的监管），创新与创业，基于机器学习和文本分析的金融科技，以及区域经济学，并且与多个国家的科研人员保持着合作关系，包括剑桥大学，美国证监会，香港科技大学，等等。
