讲座摘要
INFORMS Journal on Data Science, launched in late 2020, is the latest addition to the family of INFORMS journals. Its mission is to promote the organic integration of operations research, statistics, and computer science. IJDS publishes interdisciplinary research supporting a better data-to-decision process and serves both engineering and business disciplines. In this talk, its current Editor-in-Chief will provide some detailed information about the journal, including statistics of its submissions and reviews and some sample publications, as well as his thoughts on how to write a paper better suited to IJDS.
主讲简介
Dr. Yu Ding is the Anderson-Interface Chair and Professor in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, he was the Mike and Sugar Barnes Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Texas A&M University. Dr. Ding's research focuses on engineering data science. He is the author of the CRC Press book, Data Science for Wind Energy and a co-author of the Springer Nature book, Data Science for Nano Image Analysis. His research work is recognized by the 2019 IISE’s Technical Innovation Award and 2022 INFORMS’ Impact Prize. Dr. Ding is a former Editor-in-Chief of IISE Transactions, and the current Editor-in-Chief of INFORMS Journal on Data Science. He is a Fellow of INFORMS, IISE, and ASME.
